We completely understand that you may be concerned about getting too hot when you are out in the sun. We certainly don't want that to happen! The color black absorbs more light than lighter colors but it also reflects heat. How hot you get would also be determined by the thickness of the fabric, wind, moisture, and other factors that will change in each environment. If you prefer to wear black we certainly recommend giving it a shot but we also strive to offer lighter colors and patterns for customers who prefer to stay out of the dark colors.
